The Self-Worth Accelerator Program

I don’t want to be the bearer of bad news, but people of color, especially women of color, are underpaid. Any way you cut it, women get the short end of the stick when it comes to salary – and I’m over that. I’m here to teach and mentor you through salary negotiations!

The most impactful time to make a difference in a persons career is at the beginning, especially for women. A study calculated that women who consistently negotiate their salary increases earn at least $1 million more during their careers than women who don’t.

This is a complete 12 month group coaching program accompanied with video modules, worksheets, workbook guide and other resources. We get REAL about all the mindsets and limiting thoughts that makes negotiating salary so scary. My goal is to help you feel empowered and confident whenever you go into salary negotiations.

Every person deserves their weight in gold and I'm here to teach you how to do it. Let's get that bread.

This Is For You If:

  • You've been in your job for years but aren't getting the raise you deserve
  • You're fresh out of college and feel like you aren't supposed to negotiate because you don't have much work experience
  • You are planning to make a career change and worry that you won't be able to negotiate because you're new to the industry
  • You love the company you work for and want to walk into your salary negotiations feeling empowered
  • You're currently at a toxic company, and you know there's more out there for you, but you don't know where to start your job search, let alone negotiate your salary.
  • You haven't looked for a new job in years, and you want to streamline your job search process so you get tons of interviews and learn how to use the offers as leverage to negotiate.
  • You're the first in your family to navigate a corporate career and salary negotiations
  • You think you might be underpaid or know you should be making more money, but don't know how to ask.
  • You feel undervalued at work for taking on more responsibilities but not being properly compensated.
  • You're ready to learn the badass skill of negotiating your salary so you can use these tactics every year and secure that $1.5 million that Latinas lose over the course of their career for not negotiating.

Pay Gap Statistics

The numbers don't lie. On average, women make 80 cents compared to the white man's dollar. When broken down by ethnicity, Black and Indigenous women are disproportionally affected by the pay gap.

Based Off 2018 Median Earnings, on average women are being underpaid by $19,371

When you consider the data that only 40% of women negotiate, the amount of money being left on the table is devastating.

What My Clients Are Saying

I knew I was underpaid but didn't know how to negotiate. After Evie's program, I learned how to believe in myself and believe that I could get paid a high salary. I learned to be unapologetic about what I deserve. This program changed my life and it allowed me to negotiate a $77,000 base salary increase, $20,000 bonus, relocation package, late start date and fully remote until April 2023. This was life changing for me, and I am taking my family on an all inclusive trip to celebrate this win with the people I love.

I wasn’t just scared to negotiate, I was petrified. I truly believed I should be grateful to have an offer- not insult the company by asking for more. Evie helped me address the roots of these beliefs. Once I accepted what I brought to the table, I couldn’t settle for less. The first offer I received, I skittishly negotiated $20,000 above the starting salary. Then, I asked for a sign-on bonus on top and got it. This gave me the motivation I needed to believe in myself. I turned down that first offer and kept applying. I ended getting three more offers! I negotiated a position with a 23% higher base salary than the cap of that very first offer I turned down. I negotiated my hours and schedule. And I asked to push back my start date back a month so I could celebrate myself. In the end, I ended up negotiating a $37,000 base salary increase from my first offer to my final offer! I’m not scared to negotiate anymore because I know my worth! Thank you Evie!

Jocelyn

I negotiated an additional $19,5000 in compensation above the initial starting salary for the role I interviewed for! I owe a huge part of this to Evie and the rest of the group for all the support and advice during this emotionally turbulent time! I'm so excited to start this next chapter and feel so good about the job position, the company and my compensation! This program taught me that I am worthy of a job that I love, with people that will respect me and will pay me what I'm worth. Before I started this program, my mindset was, “well just take any job”.  But now, I’m like “No, we're setting our boundaries. And we're going to wait to find something that fits". Going through the job search process can be very singular. And can feel very lonely, especially when you know some of the other people around you have jobs. I've been really grateful to have this group. Thank you!

Megan

I never thought I would get this close to 6-figures without being an engineer or working in a hospital!! I negotiated $17,000 in salary increases! Working with Evie was a very pleasant experience. She gave me practical advice on how to approach negotiating for a higher salary when starting a new position. Her mock salary negotiation practice really helped to drive home what qualities and assets I bring to the table and thus deserving of higher pay. After my call and various communications with Evie, I felt empowered and knowledgeable in salary negotiations. Her coaching helped me negotiate a higher salary! Evie’s services and mentorship were invaluable and I look forward to working with her again as I continue to progress in my career.

Ajee

I negotiated a $33,500 base salary increase!!! To anyone one who is hesitant about joining, all I can say is INVEST! It's so worth it. I've learned so much. My mindset has changed! For people who are having trouble with their mindset, it's definitely going to help and really get an understanding of how much your value is worth. Before this program I would think “oh my god I'm asking for too much and I don't think that I'm going to get paid for that”. And in this program, I'm like, "No, I deserve to get paid. What I'm asking for is not that much". That's what, I would say to someone who is hesitant about joining. Your mindset is going to change. And you're going to understand that what you're asking for is 100% legitimate and you're going to get that job with the pay you deserve.

Yazmin

I heard people talking about your webinars and I actually went to both of them and was like, “okay, I need to meet her”. I had a promotion (negotiation) coming up at work, and thought “how can I negotiate more”, so I joined the program. Thank you for challenging me to ask for $25k more than what I was thinking. Which, to me, sounded so absurd at first! But now that I’ve done the market research, it makes sense due to the significant addition of responsibilities. Now I’m even considering other roles! I wasn't looking for a job when I first joined, but now I am leveraging other opportunities!

Orlenda

In this program, I learned to be confident about what I'm asking for when negotiating my salary. My mindset changed too, it took time and practice but I found the confidence to ask for what I'm worth. I just negotiated a $10,000 base salary increase and I'm working on securing an additional $5,000 along with benefits that align with me like more PTO and better maternity leave.

Alexandra

Prior to working with Evie, I was very fearful and scared to negotiate my salary as an undergraduate. I felt like I didn’t have the right to negotiate as an undergrad college student. But Evie provided the resources and encouragement that helped me negotiate my offers with different companies. I negotiated and got my $7,000 salary increase counteroffer approved!! Now I recognize my worth and feel empowered to continue to negotiate throughout my career. She helped me build my confidence in myself and in my negotiation skills. I learned not to settle for offers that were not right for me. It felt amazing knowing I had someone who supported & guided me with my salary negotiations.

Frequently asked questions

You’ve got questions. We’ve got answers.

Negotiating is scary, is it really that important?

Absolutely! As a matter of fact, negotiating is critical for women and especially women of color due to it's impact to build generational wealth. A statistic from 2020 found that 60% of women DO NOT negotiate their salary. Women who DO NOT negotiate lose $500,000 over the course of their careers, where as women who negotiate consistently earn $1,000,000 over the course of their career.

What if there is no room to negotiate salary?

Never assume there isn't room for negotiations. If they can't budge on the salary, there are plenty of other valuable items to negotiate on like, sign-on bonus, stock options, more PTO, remote work, flexibility in schedule, etc.

Is negotiating only for when starting a new job?

No! You can negotiate at anytime. In fact, I encourage my clients to negotiate their salary at their current jobs as well, especially after the completion of a successful project. Considering that each year we see about a 2-3% inflation, negotiating a salary raise annually is crucial to reducing the impacts of inflation.

Will recent layoffs impact my ability to negotiate?

This is such a great question! In midst of recent layoffs, many people are wondering if they have to settle for the first offer. Even during a time of layoffs, you can still negotiate. Maybe the budgets won't be as big as before, but they still offer a range for roles. Always negotiate, the worst case is they say "no" - and there is still a way to negotiate on things outside of base salary.

What if I'm looking to change roles in a new industry, do my skills and experience still count?

YES! You're skills are 100% transferrable! Even if you're new to an industry, you're previous experience can still be relevant and transferable. Don't discredit your previous experience. Your skills are still relevant and you get to bring them with you to the new industry.
